Five Hidden Misunderstandings of LED Electronic Display
With the popularization of smart products, the application of LED electronic displays has become more widespread. Everyone has a simple understanding of LED electronic displays, but what about a more in-depth understanding? Do you know the five hidden misunderstandings of LED electronic displays? If you are not sure, just look down!
Five hidden misunderstandings of LED electronic display
Did you know the five hidden misunderstandings of LED electronic display
1. LED electronic display software is not free
Currently, only a few companies have genuine software. It is illegal to use piracy now.
2. Point-by-point correction does not require the use of a dedicated driver chip
As long as the control system supports it, the universal driver chip can also achieve point-by-point correction!
3. Chromaticity correction is not equal to chromaticity uniformity correction. The application of chromaticity correction is more the conversion of color gamut space. Under normal circumstances, after brightness correction, the brightness and color uniformity of the display can reach a very high level. Coupled with the color gamut space correction, the color fidelity of the display can also reach a very high level. The following is an introduction. Chromaticity correction and chromaticity uniformity correction:
1) Chromaticity correction: to meet the special requirements of customers for display color gamut space: the color gamut space of the display screen is corrected to the color space specified by the customer. Improve the color fidelity of the display screen and make the color reproduction more realistic: Correct the color gamut space of the display screen to standard color spaces such as SRGB and NTSC.
2) Chromaticity uniformity correction: due to the good separation accuracy and stability of the color separation machine, coupled with the effective process of mixing lights and crystals, the application of chromaticity uniformity correction is quite limited, and it must be cleared when inventory is cleaned. It is necessary to mix a very small amount of lamps with scattered wavelengths on one screen. At this time, chromaticity uniformity correction is also the only option. Due to errors in the production process, lights/chips of different wavelengths were mixed together and used on the same screen. Chromaticity uniformity correction can be used as the last remedy.
4. The point-by-point correction is not done by the control system manufacturer, and the correction technology is not bundled with the control system. The real necessary conditions for point-by-point correction are:
1) A control system capable of realizing point-by-point correction.
2) High-precision and high-efficiency lamp point brightness collection equipment. Summary: Point-by-point drive control has long been realized, and the general control systems on the market already have this function. But for the collection of millions of light point data, some control system manufacturers have developed various tools, and these collection methods are not compatible with other systems. As a result, the point-by-point correction and the control system are tied together, and the misunderstanding of integration is caused.
5. Grayscale of LED electronic display
As a dual-color and full-color display, the gray scale is an important indicator. At present, the market is flooded with many 16-level and 64-level grayscale displays posing as 256-level grayscale. Its control cost is only 1/5 of that of 256-level gray scale control. The simple way is to play a VCD with a fierce sports scene to see if it can be seen clearly on the LED electronic display.
